COVID-19 - HOW YOU CAN HELP
Coronavirus patients in intensive care cannot be visited by families - the infection risk is too great. This means desperately ill patients are cut off from their loved ones at precisely the time they need them most. Tablet and smartphone video links of every kind are being used as an alternative to face to face contact and in some cases as a final way to say goodbye.
Please email us asap if you can donate a Wi-Fi enabled phone or tablet (non-returnable), it’s critical for patients not to feel completely isolated from those emotionally closest to them.
Email us with details of what device you have and where you are located within the Greater London area. We will arrange to have the device collected, data wiped, checked and sanitised and then delivered to those that need them most.
We will also be supplying smart phones and tablets to vulnerable young people, for example young adults fresh out of foster care, many of whom are isolated at home on their own for the first time in their lives with no means of connecting to the outside world.
All devices need to be Wi-Fi enabled
Please note, our initiative only covers the Greater London area.
We are helping the following three hospitals:
Royal Free London Hospital in Hampstead, Barnet General Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital
